Are these Courses currently accredited?
Answer
Yes we are accredited. We are accredited by the Victorian Registration Qualifications Authority, Nationally Government Accredited. Question
How large are classes?
Answer
All Courses have different class numbers. The general rule is that our classes are small and the personal teaching approach is paramount.
We can arrange private classes for one student. However most classes have 8 - 12 students & group workshops of 15 - 20 students.
Question
How am I taught?
Answer
Pre-requisite Course
Other daytime and evenings classes are also programmed, timetable on application. CLASSES
In both of the above Certificate and Diploma Courses, you will find that your Workshop Classes are arranged every 4 -7 weeks, based on a Saturday 10.30am - 5pm and Sunday 10.30am - 5pm.
In some instances if a student is involved in both courses based on intensive or full-time, the timetable maybe based on a Workshops every 2 weeks.
Other daytime and evenings classes are programmed, timetable on application.
In some cases special private classes may be arranged during week nights, the aim is we arrange a tutor based on the students availability. Often when working full-time, you need the flexibility in class and clinic times – in this case we always assist the student to meet study needs. STUDENT CLINIC
For all Courses MCPT students are required to attend a minimum of 5 -10 hours per week for Clinic Placement at Wheelers Hill, Boronia and Ferntree Gully or other appointed locations.
If you are on a scholarship, you must arrange three – five hours clinic placement shifts per week.
Clinic Placement times can be based around a combination of the following shifts: - Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm or 3pm – 8pm, Saturday to Sunday 10am – 4pm. Student must arrive 30 minutes before each shift to prepare and remain up to 30 minutes to end shift.
Two – three shifts may be arranged with MCPT Administration – in some cases it is suggested that you do two (five hour) shifts with a weekend shift on a 3 week rotation.
CLASS TIMES
Some weekday and weeknight classes are arranged. Most students find weekend classes the best.
Classes are arranged around the student’s timetable availability. In most cases we do not arrange regular weekly classes and dictate class times that the normal student will find it difficult to attend.
We arrange classes with discussion and the approval of the students in that class. Classes are arranged in advance allowing students to attend a choice of class times.
Unit (subject) study is part of the higher qualification in each course. You take that Workbook Unit home to study in your own time and pace. You may find that you require a teacher to help you in a difficult area of study. So what we offer is a "private teacher". This teacher is qualified in the respective area of study. Question
How do I get the "private teacher"?
Answer
All you need to do is phone MCPT Administration and give your name and request a "private teacher" for the unit of study. Discuss a date and time with our office and we will arrange a 1 hour 30 minute private class for you. Question
Will the "private teacher" cost me anything?
Answer
Your private sessions are at no additional cost. Question
